Bundyi Cultural Tours

Bundyi Cultural Tours offers Wiradjuri tours with Wiradjuri man Mark Saddler, who would like to share aspects of this culture with you. Full, half day and overnight tours are available, as are school based programs, and cultural awareness training programs for schools, business and communities. Wiradjuri people have walked this Ngurambang (country) for thousands of years. They are part of this garray (land). Come walk with me in ancient footsteps and discover more about my Wiradjuri culture. Winery and shopping tours are also available.

Sculpture Bermagui

Held annually in March in Bermagui on the New South Wales far south coast, Sculpture Bermagui includes an outdoor exhibition of large sculptural pieces in the magnificent settings of Dickinson Point Headland and the foreshores of Dickinson Park, as well as an indoor exhibition of smaller sculptures at the Bermagui Community Centre. Merimbula Divers Lodge

Merimbula Divers Lodge offers scuba diving and snorkelling courses on the Sapphire Coast. Learn to scuba dive independently, enjoy a one day dive experience or a snorkelling adventure. Dive from shore or from boats over natural environments and the famous wrecks Empire Gladstone, Tasman Hauler and the Henry Bolte. Also available is gear hire, sales and budget accommodation.

Merimbula Main Beach

Merimbula’s Main Beach has five kilometres of pristine ocean where you can surf, fish or stroll and when the surf’s up, the sea and sky are a sparkling blend of blue and white water. It's perfect for families, is patrolled during Summer and even has an off leash area for the family dog. Main Beach backs onto a beautiful bush reserve where heathland and forest provide habitat for our precious native animals and the walking opportunities are plentiful through the beautiful coastal bushland surrounding. One of several in the area, Merimbula’s seemingly endless beach provide the perfect getaway on golden sands.

Merimbula Aquarium

From sharks to shrimp, to octopus and tropical fish. It's all on display in their living theatre of the deep. Fabulous 27 fish tank aquarium and a fantastic ocean tank. Feeding time always produces lots of action. 11.30am Monday, Wednesday and Friday (Monday - Friday during School Holidays). The Aquarium Kids Club is held every Wednesday and Thursday evenings during January, where children can hold some marine animals.

Rotary Walk Merimbula

Rotary Walk starts from Rotary Park (adjacent to Spencer Park). This walk guides you through the twists and turns of lush vegetation, down steps and along bridges until you arrive at Bar Beach. The walk is quite is secluded and hard to see from the road as it has been cut out of rock and takes you along the edge of the ocean.

Whale watching tours

Merimbula Marina operates multiple cruises each day during September to November. We are a family owned and operated business and believe in responsible and respectful whale watching practices. We have a deep love of the ocean and all its amazing creatures and enjoy sharing this with our passengers. We have been operating our vessel True Blue from Merimbula for over 10 years. She is a 16 metre Super Sea Cat with three unobstructed 360 degree viewing decks to whale watch from. She has both indoor and outdoor seating and onboard toilets. Live and informative whale commentary and morning or afternoon tea is provided. You are also likely to see other whales like Southern Rights, Minkes, Bryde’s, Blue and Orcas and marine life like dolphins, sea turtles, Australian Fur Seals, a bounty of sea birds and more from the boat.

Eden Killer Whale Museum

Eden’s History is steeped in the tradition of the sea & undoubtedly the most colourful era was that of the shore based whaling. Established in 1931 is one of the oldest museums in NSW and records for prosterity this incredible battle between intrepid men in rowboats and the leviathans of the Sea. Open Daily Mon-Sat 9.15am to 3.45pm Sun 11.15am to 3.45pm.

Pambula – Merimbula Golf Club

Sapphire Coast’s premier 27-hole golf course. Relax with a coffee or cold beer in the Clubhouse with views across the course and lake. The Restaurant and Cafe provide the finest fare on the Coast. Set in a picturesque location, our landmark restaurant offers our own famous oysters as well as all the best quality local seafood from our region. Our menu has many non-seafood options with kids menus also available. You can browse through and purchase in our retail shop or take a tour of our farm operations where you will discover how oysters are grown, processed and packaged. Find out how to prepare and cook oysters plus get the opportunity to taste a variety of cooked and natural oysters – Tours operate Monday to Saturday at 11am only. Open for lunch and dinner, we also cater for group bookings. A visit will have your tastebuds melting.

Merimbula Beach

The outgoing tide is well known by Sapphire Coast locals but the strong current caught a number of visitors off guard over the summer school holidays. The Australian Lifeguard Service (ALS) estimates 13 people were prevented from drowning on Sapphire Coast beaches during the summer, with Bar Beach having the most rescues.
